Just as a popular saying goes, "Those who weave color into our lives leave us with a tapestry of beautiful memories", most of us go through a time in our lives where looking back to our care free high school days in Novaliches High School bring us endless memories of what used to be and remind us of our friends we've lost contact with for many years. Some of us (like myself) can't help but get emotional just the very thought of a class reunion and that once in a lifetime chance of meeting again and finally catching up with our long lost friends in high school. And that was exactly what NHS Batch 1973 just recently experienced and lived to tell us all about here at NHS On-line Community today.

Congratulations Bath 1973 on your successful weeklong reunion festivities last March 29th that stretched on until April 3rd. It was great to see every one of you having fun and receiving messages from some of those who have attended speaking of how great their experiences were and to see old friends who have become better with age! (winks). Our congratulations goes also to Batch '73 1st Grand Reunion Organizing Committee for 2008 and the Christmas Caroling Group: Eduardo "Eddie" Alix, Roberto "Robert" Analupa, Zoraida "Aida" Secreto-Aquino, Efenito "Efen" Bartolome, Maria Luisa Clamor-Calalang, Enrique "Ike" Calicdan, Florita "Beyot Llarinas-Calicdan, Leonida "Nida" Reyes-Carpio, Normanita "Nanette" Fortich-Dacanay, Flordeliza "Flor" Eugenio-Gancia, Eleanor "Ellen" Morales-Gnanathurai, Ofelia Corpuz Lambino, Prescila "Precy" Cano-Nueva and Adrian M. Poblete (+), and to all their family and friends who have helped and supported them every step of the way. Kudos to all of you!!

Preview copies of paparazzi photos taken during the March 29th Club Filipino affair was provided courtesy of Rod Alcantara and Ike Calicdan. The bulk of the official photo album and video footage per Ike Calicdan (also the Overall 1st Grand Reunion Organizing Committee Chairman) will be posted soon after Ricky Ligon whom I've heard has done the video coverage of the event for free and also provided the group with a professional photographer they hired for just a nominal fee, finished editing his work. So please watch out for that on the coming days.

For the meantime, please enjoy the preview photos and reunion update shared by Ike Calicdan. For Batch 1973 members who have more pictures for sharing with NHSOC, you may email them to me at nhsqcalumni@gmail.com or send them to Ike for posting on our NHSOC Photo Gallery.

In closing, I'd like to share with you all a message from their Class Adviser and NHS faculty mentor Mr. Cesar Sta. Maria about his reunion experience with Batch '73 members:

Dear Chona and to all Batch '73 members:
" In general, the reunion of Batch '73 is a complete success. In fact, few days since the reunion some teachers like Mrs. Inabangan even called to express her impression about the whole affair. One thing she noticed was the sincerity of everyone who were so energetic in their participation in all parts of the program. They were so relaxed and comfortable with one another. The stigma or fear that they belong to lower section was totally overcome. "Walang hiya-hiya na hindi ma-appreciate ang involvement kahit galing siya sa lower or vocational section noong high school." Of course the success of the event was all because of the organizers headed by no less than the very able, capable and the once "crush ng bayan" – Ike Calicdan and his equally diligent wife Beyot plus the support of the entire group who unselfishly supported and worked behind Ike and Beyot. So in my humble capacity as adviser, mentor or however they want to call me, "Congratulations and thank you for making me a part of your reunion. They say that "Love is blind, but friendship is clairvoyant." Thank you for being a part of my life whether it be for a reason, a season or a lifetime. Thank you and enjoy the memory of that wonderful evening.

From the bottom of my heart, "THANK YOU!"

Sir Cesar Sta. Maria

Again on behalf of NHSOC, our congratulations to Batch 1973!!! More power to you all!
